The Buju Banton Long Walk to Freedom Concert on St. Croix was an unforgettable night! And just when you thought the night couldn't get any better, a surprise guest took the stage and caught me completely off guard!

Arriving & The Unexpected Setup 🎶
I arrived at the venue ready with my two sisters and baby niece, armed with chairs and an umbrella in case the weather turned bad. What I wasn’t expecting? Being soooo far from the stage! 😩 But regardless of the distance, the music, the energy, and the vibes made up for it!
Unfortunately, I left my tripod on St. Thomas, so the footage may be a little shaky—but trust me, the performances were worth capturing!
Tarrus Riley – The Energy Never Stopped! 🔥
Tarrus Riley brought all the vibes! Hit after hit, he delivered an unforgettable set that had the crowd singing along and moving non-stop. The man’s energy was contagious!
His performance featured fan-favorite hits like Lighter, Superman, Stay With You, Human Nature, Love’s Contagious, Gimme Likkle One Drop, Only Man in the World (feat. Tarrus Riley), and Love Again.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better… BOOM – the surprise guest took the stage! The crowd went wild! If you weren’t there, don’t worry—I caught it all for you. 🎥

Buju Banton – Hits on Hits on Hits! 🎤🔥
Then came Buju Banton. And let me tell you… he did not disappoint!
From the moment he stepped onto the stage, Buju ran through hit after hit after hit. The energy was unmatched, and the crowd held onto every word. By the time the concert wrapped up, it was almost 2:30 AM! 😳
Buju Banton’s incredible comeback story added to the excitement of the night. In 2009, he was arrested in the U.S. on cocaine trafficking charges, and after a hung jury trial, he was convicted in 2011 and imprisoned until December 2018, when he was released and deported to Jamaica. Since his return, Buju has re-established himself as a reggae icon, continuing to make an impact with his music and performances.
His setlist was a journey through his most legendary hits, including Untold Stories, Destiny, Boom Bye Bye, Wanna Be Loved, Murderer, Trust, Driver A, Love Me Browning, Champion, Batty Rider, ‘Til I’m Laid to Rest, Blessed, Cry No More, A Little More Time, and more!

Ras Batch – Conscious Vibes & Roots Reggae 🌿🔥
One of the highlights of the night was Ras Batch, a respected roots reggae artist known for his uplifting and conscious music. His set was filled with soulful performances, delivering some of his top hits, including Together, So Beautiful, When, Rastafarian Chant, Jah Guidance, Unconditional, Chant Dem Down, Roots Tradition, Ah Rulah, Black Man Arise, Sons and Daughters, Trees, Lift Up, Jah Fountain, Who You Are, Level The Vibes, and Lie From Truth.
Ras Batch brought a deep cultural and spiritual energy to the concert, setting the perfect tone before the major performances later in the night. If you’re a fan of authentic reggae music, his set was one to remember!
VIP vs. General Admission – A Layout Surprise!
